TUITION FEES

The resources of the MA program are managed by the Special Research Funds Account (ELKE) of the A.P.Th. and their distribution is carried out in accordance with article 84, par. 4 of Law 4957/2022 (Α΄ 141) and article 14 of the Postgraduate study programs Regulation. of AUTH.

Tuition fees are set at € 3,000. These are paid directly to the AUTH Research Committee in three installments (€ 1,200/€ 1,200/€ 600) at the beginning of each semester. In the event students have exceptional circumstances, a different payment plan can be arranged, after special agreement with the program coordinator.

Upon completion of admission, students receive a unique reference code for making secure and easy payments online. No other ways of payment are available.

SCHOLARSHIPS

By decision of the Assembly of the Department depending on the revenues of the MA program scholarships may be awarded to graduate students.

Scholarships are in the form of tuition waivers and are awarded at the end of the fall semester as follows:  Scholarship recipients are exempt from further financial burden until the completion of their studies, while they must provide auxiliary work with a specific subject and with a maximum weekly employment of three (3) hours.

The financial aid scholarship is awarded per major based on the academic performance of postgraduate students in the winter semester courses (>7.5) on the condition of documented financial inability.

The merit scholarship is awarded to the student with the highest performance based on the fall semester course average. The recipient of the award is announced at the beginning of the spring semester.

Both, scholarship take the form of a fee-waiver for the remainder of the students’ studies, i.e. are equivalent to the amount of € 2,000.

FULL REDUCTION

Each academic year, 30% of incoming postgraduate students receive full funding from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications in application of article 35 of Official Gazette 4485/2017. The award is based on the National Median Equivalent Disposable Income, and therefore beneficiaries are only Greek students.
