The library of the School hosts 5.100 books, 40 scientific journals, audiovisual material (films and documentaries), as well as graduate/postgraduate/doctoral theses. It is linked to the central library’s catalogue (OPAC); it participates in the inter-loan system of Greek libraries, and it runs seminars for students of the School on the use of search engines and open access platforms.
The central library of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki hosts more than 1.000.000 books, over 3.000 scientific journals, around 450.000 e-books, and audiovisual material. It provides free access to all major electronic sources and databases.
Located on the 5th floor of the School’s building on 46 Egnatias Str., it offers 18 working spaces, and is available to students to use for their projects at all times it is not used for classes. It includes network printer, internet access and video projector.
Μedia Informatics Lab
The Media Informatics Lab is responsible for a wide range of the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It is home of the Mediated Communication Research Group that develops projects in the field of computer assisted applications in the fields of communication and journalism. Laboratory of Electronic Media
The laboratory offers TV studio (25 m2), radio booth (6 m2), control room (12 m2) and editing room (15 m2). Responsible for a wide range of the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of television and radio production. The Lab is a center of excellence in its field and within the Greek academic community, focusing on interdisciplinary themes such as: International and European Journalism, Peace Journalism, Crisis Management, Hate speech, disinformation, verification and awareness on the fake news, Media and war, Strategic Communications, Media and News Literacy, Diversity and the Media.
